Self-trust is really hard. I had an assumption that self-trust was something you were born with or not. Turns out that assumption is B.S. But, how can you trust the decisions you make in your dating life if you’ve had bad relationships in the past? Or you’ve had experiences that eroded your self-trust. Well, this week I am going to provide some strategies you can take to increase your capacity to trust yourself in your dating life.

Self-trust is built in small steps. There is no “arrived” point, there is only the next stop. Yes, you are whole right now. But there is still growth to be had.

This episode explores how to build self-trust, including:

  • An exercise that encourages you to think back to a time when you learned to not trust yourself... either by a betrayal or being taught something. What did you need to hear? What can you tell yourself now?

  • Why you should LOVE the current version of yourself.

  • The reason it is essential to figure out your personal ‘why’.

  • Are your actions aligning or not aligning with what you want?

  • Journaling prompts to help you explore self-trust: what you have been taught, what you know as true, and how you are going to move forward.

  • How boundary setting can increase your self-trust
